Blake Snell picks up the loss as Tampa Bay loses on Monday
Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell picked up his second loss of the season as he went five innings allowing four runs (one earned) in a 4-3 defeat at the hands of the Boston Red Sox on Monday.
The Rays' defense didn't help the young left-hander out as a two-out error by Brad Miller in the second led directly to three runs scoring. Overall, Snell's command was much better on Monday as he walked just two batters while striking out five. He will make his next start against the Houston Astros this weekend.
Snell owns a 0-2 record with a 2.76 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 10 walks and 11 punch outs in 16 1/3 innings pitched this season.
