Nationals suggest Joe Ross will toe rubber Wednesday
Washington Nationals pitcher Joe Ross could start Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves.
Ross opened the year in Triple-A Syracuse only because the Nationals didn't need a fifth starter for the first couple of weeks. He twirled six innings of one-run ball on Thursday with Syracuse and it sounds like he'll take the mound for the upcoming tilt with Atlanta sandwiched between Max Scherzer (Tuesday) and Stephen Strasburg (Thursday). Ross should be owned pretty much everywhere.
The 23-year-old right-hander recorded a 3.43 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 20.8 strikeout percentage across 105 innings (19 starts) last season for Washington
