Danny Duffy goes seven strong as Royals blowout Angels

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy spun seven innings of one-run ball in Friday’s 7-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.

What It Means:

After giving up an RBI single to Mike Trout in the first inning, Duffy settled in and cruised through the next six innings. He gave up just three hits, while walking two and punching out six Angels. He has now allowed two or fewer runs in each of his first three starts.

Our models project Duffy to post a 3.84 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with 160 strikeouts over 171.1 innings remaining this season.
