Josh Donaldson aggravates calf, makes early exit in Blue Jays' loss
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson was pulled from Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles after aggravating his right calf injury.
Donaldson missed time in spring training with a strained calf and it appeared to bother him again in the sixth inning Thursday while he was running to second on an RBI double. Toronto brought in Jarrod Saltalamacchia as a pinch runner at second. More should be known about Donaldson's status later Friday. He finished 1-for-3 before leaving.
Through nine games, Donaldson is slashing .310/.429/.586 with a pair of home runs and four RBI's in 35 plate appearances.
