Miami Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto is getting the night off Thursday versus the New York Mets.
Realmuto is just getting a routine day off. The Marlins will start A.J. Ellis behind the plate and hit him second versus right-hander Roberto Gsellman and the Mets.
The 26-year-old Realmuto has been great so far during his third full season in the bigs, evidenced by a .414/.469/.724 slash across 32 plate appearances with a couple of dingers and six RBI's.
