Rickie Weeks exits Rays' outing with neck, shoulder soreness
Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Rickie Weeks was lifted from Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees with neck and right shoulder soreness.
Weeks collided with Brett Gardner in the sixth inning and both players made early exits after laying on the ground for several moments. David Lennon of Newsday> says Weeks was pulled as a precautionary measure, so consider him an optimistic day-to-day moving forward.
Weeks is slashing .273/.333/.636 across his first 12 plate appearances of the season with one home run and two RBI's -- both of which came today.
