Byron Buxton falls out of Twins' lineup against Detroit

Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is not in the Twins' starting lineup on Wednesday versus the Tigers.

What It Means:

After opening the year batting third for Minnesota, Buxton was dropped to seventh and then eighth in the order over the weekend before eventually getting yanked in the ninth on Tuesday after getting caught looking on all three of his trips to the plate. He's now fallen out of the lineup entirely and will watch as Eddie Rosario replaces him in center field for Wednesday's matinée. Rosario will hit eighth versus Detroit right-hander Michael Fulmer.

Buxton has gone 2-for-29 to open the year (.069) while leading the majors with 17 strikeouts. He's 0-for-7 over his last two games with four whiffs.
