Nationals giving Anthony Rendon a breather versus St. Louis
Washington Nationals infielder Anthony Rendon is out of Tuesday's lineup versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Nationals are hoping a day off will help Rendon get on track after a brutal start to the year. Stephen Drew is starting at third while Wilmer Difo mans short and hits second.
Through six games, Rendon is hitting .120 (3-for-25) while striking out 29.6 percent of the time he's at the plate.
