Detroit Tigers outfielder Justin Upton (back) is back in action Tuesday against the Minnesota Twins.
Upton missed Monday's contest but it was never a major concern. He's batting fifth against left-hander Hector Santiago and the Twins.
Upton has struggled at the plate so far this season, hitting .143 (2-for-14) with six strikeouts across five games (18 plate appearances).
