San Fransico Giants starting pitcher Matt Moore held the Arizona Diamondbacks to one run in eight innings Monday as the Giants earned a 4-1 victory.
Moore gave up a solo home run to Yasmany Tomas in the fifth but shut down the D-Backs otherwise. He allowed just three hits, walked none, and struck out five while throwing 93 pitches in eight innings. Moore will face the Colorado Rockies at home in his next start.
Moore has pitched 13 innings this season, posting a 1-1- record with a 2.70 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and eight strikeouts.
