Greg Bird (illness, ankle) missing third straight for Yankees on Monday
New York Yankees first baseman Greg Bird (ankle) remains out of the lineup on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The absence has more to do with Bird's illness than his ankle, according to manager Joe Girardi, suggesting he could be available as a pinch-hitter. Chris Carter will start at first base again as the Yankees battle right-hander Alex Cobb and the Rays in a Monday matinée.
At a cost of $2,600 on FanDuel, Carter is numberFire's top-rated DFS value play on Monday's 10-game slate.
