Manuel Margot powers the Padres to victory over the Giants
San Diego Padres outfielder Manuel Margot blasted a pair of solo homers on Friday, leading the Padres to a 7-6 victory over the San Francisco Giants in their home opener.
The home runs for Margot were the first of his career as Friday was just the 15th game of the young outfielder's career. Margot finished the night 2-for-4 with a walk, to go along with the pair of dingers. The outfielder is one of the top candidates for Rookie of the Year and should be owned in most fantasy leagues due to his stolen base potential.
NumberFire's algorithms project Margot for a .256 batting average, 9 home runs, 48 RBI's, 48 runs scored, and 23 stolen bases in 477 plate appearances the rest of the season.
