Tigers' Michael Fulmer brilliant in no-decision on Friday
Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer held the Boston Red Sox off the scoreboard for six innings but had to settle for a no-decision in Friday's 6-5 victory.
Fulmer was on point, allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out four in his 2017 debut. The reigning AL Rookie of the Year hit 98 mph with his fastball on multiple occasions, looking as sharp as could be. He will face the Minnesota Twins the next time he takes the mound.
Our models project Fulmer for a 12-9 record, 3.75 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 152 strikeouts in 175 innings pitched the rest of the way.
