Red Sox won't have Hanley Ramirez (flu) versus Detroit
Boston Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez is not in the lineup for Friday's matchup with the Pittsburgh Pirates because he's under the weather.
Mookie Betts is also missing a second straight contest due to illness, so there seems to be a bug going around Boston's clubhouse. Ramirez won't be available to pinch-hit as he's not even at the ballpark, but hopefully he can get return to action for Saturday's matchup. Brock Holt will be the Red Sox's designated hitter Friday.
For the rest of the year, numberFire's models project Ramirez to record 24 home runs, 87 RBI's and 9 stolen bases with a .278 batting average across 566 plate appearances.
