The Pittsburgh Pirates have brought outfielder Travis Snider back to the team on a minor league deal.
Snider originally joined the Pirates near the trade deadline back in 2012. He spent 2013 and 2014 in Pittsburgh before being traded to the Orioles this past off-season. Baltimore released Snider earlier in August.
Snider never got the stick going while with the Orioles, posting a .237/.318/.341 slash with three home runs over 236 plate appearances. His hard-hit rate was slightly above average at 29.0 perent, up from his 26.6 percent mark in his final year with the Pirates.
