St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty (head) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the Chicago Cubs.
Piscotty made an early exit from Tuesday's contest after taking a throw to the ear flap of his helmet while trying to cross home plate. This came after he got hit by a pitch and was then struck in the elbow while running to second base, all in the same inning. Consider the 26-year-old outfielder to be day-to-day. Randal Grichuk will man right field and Matt Adams will start in left for St. Louis.
Piscotty is 1-for-4 so far this season, with two runs scored, three walks drawn and three strikeouts.
