Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Jose Quintana was blasted for six earned runs in 5 1/3 innings in Tuesday's Opening Day loss to the Detroit Tigers.
The game was originally supposed to be played on Monday but was pushed back due to rain, possibly throwing the White Sox ace off his rhythm. He allowed five hits -- including three home runs -- while walking three and striking out two. He will look to bounce back against the Minnesota Twins in his next start.
numberFire's algorithms have Quintana projected for 12 wins, a 3.65 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 181 strikeouts in 200 innings pitched this season.
