Astros' Dallas Keuchel fires seven shutout innings in Monday's opener
Houston Astros starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel allowed two hits over seven innings against the Seattle Mariners on Monday, combining with two relievers for a 3-0 shutout victory.
Keuchel allowed just a pair of singles on Monday while punching out four and walking two. He's off to a stellar start in 2017 after posting an underwhelming 4.55 ERA and 9-12 record last season.
For the rest of the season, numberFire's models project Keuchel to record a 3.71 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 21.5 strikeout percentage across 196 2/3 innings while going 12-11.
