A's will have Sonny Gray (lat) throw off the mound on Tuesday
Oakland Athletics pitcher Sonny Gray (lat) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday as he works his way back from a lat strain.
Gray suffered the lat injury early in spring training and was shut down for weeks. He resumed a throwing program last week and is ahead of schedule in his recovery. A late-April return to the A's rotation looks like a reasonable expectation, as long as there are no setbacks.
Our models projected Gray for a 4.07 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, a 9-10 record, and 143 punchouts in 181 1/3 innings pitched this season.
