Carlos Carrasco continues to struggle for Indians in final spring start
Cleveland Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco didn’t look sharp in his final start of the spring, allowing nine hits, four runs and one walk, while striking out five, over four sluggish innings Wednesday in the Indians’ Cactus League win over the Cincinnati Reds.
What It Means:
Carrasco is being chosen as an ace in fantasy drafts, but his performance this spring hasn't backed up the billing. After recording a 3.32 ERA in 2016 (146 1/3 innings), he's posted a horrendous 10.80 ERA across six Cactus League starts (15 innings).
numberFire's metrics believe Carrasco will record a 3.41 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 25.8 strikeout percentage across 177 innings this upcoming season.
