Josh Hamilton (knee) will continue to sit on Wednesday
Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton will miss his fourth consecutive game with a knee injury. He said yesterday that he hopes to return on Thursday versus Detroit. Ryan Strausborger will take his spot in the lineup and bat ninth against the Mariners.
What It Means:
Mariners southpaw Mike Montgomery was shelled for nine earned runs in his last outing versus the Red Sox. On the season he allows a .302 wOBA to righties but has a sub-par 4.28 xFIP versus them as well. Ryan Strausborger has a .324 wOBA in only 28 plate appearances on the season. Given his small sample size and limited opportunities in the nine spot, Strausborger is not much of a fantasy option today.
