Rangers' Adrian Beltre (calf) will be re-evaluated over weekend
Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre (calf) will be re-evaluated over the weekend.
Beltre received an MRI after experiencing some tightness in his right calf muscle on Monday, but it didn't reveal any severe damage. If he doesn't show some significant progress this weekend, the soon-to-be 38-year-old slugger will likely be opening the year on the Rangers' disabled list.
numberFire's models currently project Beltre to hit .288 across 617 plate appearances in 2017 while mashing 24 long balls and driving in 94 runs for the Rangers.
