Cincinnati Reds pitcher Amir Garrett has earned a spot in the club's rotation.
Garrett, a 2011 22nd-round pick, is the Reds' second-best prospect in the organization. He went 3-1 with a 4.22 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 21 1/3 innings this spring, locking down the fourth spot in the rotation. The 24-year-old southpaw will likely have a short leash, though, making him only worth a late-round flier in deep fantasy leagues.
Garrett put up a 2.55 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP and 132 strikeouts in 144 2/3 innings across both Double- and Triple-A in 2016.
