Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (biceps) was diagnosed with bursitis after an MRI showed no structural damage.
Rodon will be put on a throwing program for the next two weeks before being re-evaluated. The 24-year-old southpaw is going to open the season on the White Sox's disabled list, but he should join the rotation sooner rather than later.
At this time, numberFire's models believe Rodon will go 9-11 over 159 innings this season while recording a 3.79 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with a 23.8 strikeout percentage.
