Yasmany Tomas should be ready for Diamondbacks' Opening Day
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Yasmany Tomas (oblique) hit in the batting cage on Thursday and will ramp up his activity on Friday in hopes of being ready for Opening Day.
Tomas has been out of action since March 6 after injuring his left oblique. The 26-year-old outfielder will do more on Friday, and if he comes out unscathed, he should be ready to start on Opening Day. Tomas is coming off a breakout season where he led Arizona with 31 home runs.
numberFire's models project Tomas for 21 home runs, 69 RBI's, 66 runs scored and a .266 batting average in 526 plate appearances.
