Angels will be without Luis Valbuena (hamstring) 4-6 weeks
Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Valbuena will miss 4-6 weeks with a strained right hamstring.
Fortunately it's a Grade 1 strain, which is of the mildest variety, but Valbuena will still be forced to spend the first month of the season on the shelf. C.J. Cron will open the year as the Angels' everyday first baseman, but he and Valbuena will share duties once the latter is ready.
Prior to this news, numberFire's algorithms projected Valbuena to hit .236 with 17 home runs and 51 RBI's across 417 plate appearances.
