Diamondbacks' A.J. Pollock (groin) now targeting Friday return

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder A.J. Pollock (groin) is now aiming to return to Cactus League action on Friday.

What It Means:

Pollock was previously scheduled to return Friday, but manager Torey Lovullo didn't want to take any risks on wet grass after the Diamondbacks' spring training was hit with some morning rain. Assuming he returns Friday, it will be Pollock's first Cactus League game since March 12 due to tightness in his left groin. There's not much concern about his Opening Day status.

For the upcoming season, numberFire's metrics expect Pollock to hit .289 across 549 plate appearances with 17 home runs, 56 RBI's and 28 stolen bases.
