Yankees shut down Didi Gregorius (shoulder) for at least two weeks
New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius has been shut down for two weeks due to a right shoulder strain.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Gregorius could be out longer, so it looks like New York will be without their starting shortstop to begin the season. New York could slide Starlin Castro over to shortstop, or use Ronald Torreyes or Tyler Wade to fill in while Gregorius is on the shelf.
Before he was injured, numberFire's models projected Gregorius for a .267 batting average, 16 homers and 65 RBI's over 591 plate appearances in 2017.
