Koda Glover confirmed as favorite for Nationals' closing job
Washington Nationals manager Dusty Baker said Tuesday that he's trying to see if reliever Koda Glover is ready for the closer role.
Glover has been called upon in the ninth for each of his last five appearances, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise. The 23-year-old (24 in April) right-hander's fantasy stock is set to soar over the next few days.
Across 19 2/3 innings last season (19 appearances), Glover twirled a 5.03 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 19.3 strikeout percentage.
