Royals' Salvador Perez (knee) scheduled for follow-up MRI
Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez (knee) will undergo a follow-up MRI on Tuesday.
The initial test revealed no structural damage, so hopefully the follow-up MRI confirms it. Perez suffered the injury in a collision at home plate with teammate and backup Drew Butera on Saturday during a contest in the World Baseball Classic.
Perez slashed .247/.288/.438 across 546 plate appearances last season while posting a career-worst 21.8 strikeout percentage. He slugged 22 home runs with 64 RBI's in 139 games.
