Cardinals' Trevor Rosenthal has no structural damage to right lat
An MRI on St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Trevor Rosenthal's sore right lat showed no structural damage.
Rosenthal was scratched from his scheduled start on Monday with soreness but it appears the injury is nothing serious. The team says they hope to have him back on the mound by the end of the week. Rosenthal has an outside chance of being the Cards' fifth starter, but he will need to perform well this spring if he wants a chance to be in the rotation.
Our models project Rosenthal for a 3.13 ERA and 1.52 WHIP with 69 strikeouts over 52 2/3 innings pitched this season.
