Boston's David Price will seek a second opinion after inconclusive MRI

Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell said the results of starting pitcher David Price's MRI were "inconclusive."

What It Means:

Price felt soreness in his elbow on Wednesday which prompted the MRI, but even with the inconclusive results he says he is feeling better on Thursday. The team is hoping the injury isn't serious, but the Red Sox will be extra careful with their $200 million dollar man. He has an appointment with Dr. James Andrews in Indianapolis on Friday afternoon.

Assuming he plays a full season, our models project Price for a 14-10 record with 214 innings pitched, 214 strikeouts, a 3.41 ERA and 1.16 WHIP.
