Cincinnati's Anthony DeSclafani (elbow) has been cleared to resume throwing
Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani (elbow) has been cleared to play catch Thursday.
DeSclafani was scratched from his Cactus League start on Tuesday with a sore elbow, but it didn't seem too serious. Now that he is throwing again after being cleared by Dr. Timothy Kremchek on Wednesday, he could be ready for a spring start soon.
Our models project DeSclafani to log 169.1 innings with a 4.23 ERA and 145 strikeouts in 2017.
