New York Mets third baseman David Wright (neck) is tentatively scheduled to play catch on Sunday.
Wright is working his way back from a cervical discectomy and fusion surgery, so the Mets are going to take a conservative approach with his return. He's been limited to a total of 75 games over the past two seasons.
Wright was off to a solid start last season, posting a .344 wOBA in 164 plate appearances, paired with a .212 ISO, which would have been his highest mark since the 2010 season.
