The Baltimore Orioles have signed free agent catcher Welington Castillo, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.
This has been the expected outcome for both sides since Castillo was non-tendered by the Arizona Diamondbacks. The deal signals the end of Matt Wieters' time in Baltimore, but should provide a nice outlook for Castillo's fantasy prospects.
Castillo slashed .264/.322/.423 with 14 home runs and a career-high 68 RBI's over 457 plate appearances with the Diamondbacks last season.
