Red Sox add Chris Sale to rotation in trade with White Sox
The Boston Red Sox have acquired starting pitcher Chris Sale in a deal with the Chicago White Sox, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
The left-hander comes with a hefty price tag, as the Red Sox are sending a four-pack of top prospects that includes infielder Yoan Moncada, outfielder Luis Alexander Basabe and a pair of right-handers in Michael Kopech and Victor Diaz. Expect more moves from the White Sox as they break ground on a rebuild.
Sale recorded a 3.34 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 25.7 strikeout percentage across 226 2/3 innings for the White Sox last season. His 2.95 nERD was a career-best.
