Mets finalize $110 million contract with Yoenis Cespedes
The New York Mets have re-signed outfielder Yoenis Cespedes to a four-year, $110 million contract.
Cespedes is now the high man in average annual value (AAV) for an outfielder and he is just below Miguel Cabrera in AAV for position players. Cespedes will continue to be the every day left fielder and big bat in the middle of the Mets lineup for the next four seasons at least.
Cespedes slashed .280/.354/.530 with 31 homers and 86 RBI's over 630 plate appearances last season. He had a .369 wOBA and he tied a career-best with a .251 ISO.
