Josh Reddick officially joins Astros
The Houston Astros signed outfielder Josh Reddick to a four-year, $52 million deal.
Reddick is now officially a member of the Astros, as was reported last week. Houston also signed Brian McCann in the past week, giving the club a new pair of left-handed hitters in the lineup. There may still be more roster moves on the way, and manager A.J. Hinch already has options in his outfield, so it's not clear on where Reddick will be slotted. The 29-year-old has mostly played right field in his career and won a Gold Glove at the position in 2012.
Reddick slashed .281/.345/.405 with 10 jacks and 37 RBI's over 439 plate appearances this past season for the Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Dodgers. His .123 ISO was a career-low.
