Andrelton Simmons (thumb) out of Braves lineup again Friday
Andrelton Simmons is missing his sixth straight game on Friday, giving way to Daniel Castro, who will play shortstop and bat second.
Simmons bruised a bone in his thumb last Saturday and hasn't been able to return to the lineup since. Castro has done well in his place, hitting .333/.333/.370 in 27 plate appearances. Castro, 22, was hitting .300/.340/.334 prior to being called up. He has a very tough righty-on-righty matchup against Jose Fernandez, so he's not a recommended option tonight. We'll keep you updated on Andrelton's status.
