Braves intrigued by White Sox's Chris Sale
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale is drawing strong trade interest from the Atlanta Braves and other clubs, according to FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman.
The Washington Nationals are reportedly also interested, but it's important to note that the White Sox aren't actively shopping their 27-year-old ace southpaw at this time. If they do decide to go ahead with an offseason rebuild, the Braves have plenty of pieces in their farm system to make a deal happen. Sale is owed just $38 million over the next three seasons.
Sale recorded a 3.34 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 25.7 strikeout percentage across 226 2/3 innings last season. His 2.95 nERD was a career-best.
