Tim Hudson (ankle) may be headed to disabled list with return of Cain, Peavy
Giants veteran pitcher Tim Hudson may be headed to the disabled list upon the imminent return of Matt Cain and Jake Peavy.
What It Means:
Hudson has played with ankle problems all season following a surgery he had in January, but has pitched through it rather successfully (4.52 ERA, 4.00 xFIP) considering his age (39). With Cain and Peavy returning, it makes sense to give the old man some time off before the season kicks into the playoff stretch.
