Cleveland Indians outfielder Rajai Davis will start in center field and hit seventh in Game 7 of the World Series against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday.
Davis replaces Tyler Naquin in the lineup after the rookie allowed a fly ball to turn into a two-run double during the first inning of their loss in Game 6 on Tuesday night. It's the first time Naquin will be on the bench against a right-hander since June 30.
Davis has managed just three hits (two singles and a double) in 32 appearances at the plate this postseason. His strikeout rate has jumped to 28.1 percent after finishing at 21.4 percent in the regular season.
