Aroldis Chapman could see extended work again in Game 6 for Cubs
Chicago Cubs reliever Aroldis Chapman may be used for multiple innings in Game 6 of the World Series on Tuesday, said manager Joe Maddon.
"I don't think it's impossible to think that," Maddon told reporters prior to Game 6 in Cleveland. With their backs against the wall, the Cubs are going to do whatever it takes to force a Game 7. Chapman was spectacular in Game 5 on Sunday, recording the final eight outs on 42 pitches while extending the series for at least nine more innings.
Chapman has sat 16 of the 18 batters he's faced in the World Series. He owns a 2.08 ERA and 36.0 strikeout percentage in 13 innings this postseason.
