Indians will play Carlos Santana in left field for Game 3
Cleveland Indians first baseman/designated hitter Carlos Santana is starting in left field and batting leadoff for the Indians on Friday in Game 3 of the World Series.
Santana has played one game in his major league career in the outfield and that was four years ago. He has been taking fly balls lately and the Indians seem to be willing to sacrifice some defense to keep his bat atop their order.
Santana posted a nice .376 wOBA with 34 homers in the regular season. However, he is currently hitting only .143 in the postseason with two homers and eight strikeouts.
