Corey Kluber a possible starter for Cleveland in Games 1, 4 and 7
Cleveland Indians pitcher Corey Kluber is "under strong consideration" to be the starter in Games 1, 4 and 7 of the World Series, reports ESPN's Buster Olney.
Game 7 would be dependent on that game taking place, obviously. Manager Terry Francona doesn't need to commit to anything for now, but it would be wise to milk their best option for all he's worth in the game's final stage. Kluber will start Game 1, with Trevor Bauer taking the mound for Game 2 and Josh Tomlin toeing the rubber in Game 3. Danny Salazar is a potential Game 4 option, but we'll see what Francona wants to do.
Kluber owns a 0.98 ERA in his three starts this postseason (18 1/3 innings). Our models have Cleveland as underdogs for the World Series, giving them only a 36.6 percent chance of upsetting the Cubs.
