Cleveland Indians pitcher Danny Salazar (forearm) hasn't been ruled out from possibly making a start during the World Series, manager Terry Francona said on Friday.
Salazar hasn't pitched in six weeks due to a strained right flexor musculature. He would likely be on a pretty restricted pitch count in that start, but would provide a boost to Cleveland's rotation regardless.
Salazar posted a 3.87 ERA with a career-worst 3.86 SIERA in 25 regular season starts. His 26.7 percent strikeout rate was above his career average, but he also posted a career-worst 10.8 percent walk rate.
