Marco Estrada tagged for two taters, Blue Jays eliminated from postseason
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marco Estrada surrendered two home runs and three total runs over six innings of work in a 3-0 loss to the Cleveland Indians in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series.
Estrada didn't disappoint on the mound, striking out seven and scattering five hits over his six innings of work. Mike Napoli opened up the scoring in the first inning by beating Estrada for a deep RBI double. The two other scores on the right-hander's watch were on a pair of solo dingers from Carlos Santana and Coco Crisp in the third and fourth innings, respectively.
In three postseason starts, Estrada pitched to a strong 1.85 ERA with a 23.8 strikeout percentage over 24 1/3 innings.
