Javier Baez steals home to help Cubs win Game 1
Chicago Cubs second baseman Javier Baez broke out for two hits and a stolen base in the Cubs' win over the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday in Game 1 of the NLCS.
Baez stretched an RBI single into a double in the second inning and after reaching third base, Baez made a move towards home and Carlos Ruiz tried to throw down, making room for Baez to score on the throw. The Cubs' second baseman has made some dazzling plays both in the field and with the bat this postseason. He is hitting .400 in the postseason.
Baez slashed .273/.314/.423 through 450 regular season plate appearances, and posted a career-high .316 wOBA. His 14 home runs, 50 runs scored, 59 RBI's and 12 stolen bases were all career-bests.
