Cleveland Indians pitcher Danny Salazar (forearm) is unlikely to be on the team's ALCS roster, according to manager Terry Francona.
A strained right forearm has sidelined Salazar since September 9, and when asked if Salazar could pitch in the ALCS, Francona said, "I don't think so, I really don't."
Salazar posted a 3.87 ERA with a career-worst 3.86 SIERA through 25 regular season starts. His 26.7 percent strikeout rate was above his career average, but he also posted a career-worst 10.8 percent walk rate.
