Chicago Cubs third baseman Javier Baez propelled the Cubs to a Game 4 win over the San Francisco Giants, hitting a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the ninth that proved to be the game-winner.
With that win, the Cubs advance to the NLCS. They will have a close eye on the NLDS Game 5 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals on Thursday, which will determine their opponent in the next round.
Baez slashed .273/.314/.423 through 450 regular season plate appearances, and posted a career-high .316 wOBA. His 14 home runs, 50 runs scored, 59 RBI's and 12 stolen bases were all career-bests.
